HIYA FOLKS <3 I just received the Myco Environment Bag along with a Mazatapec strand syringe from Sporeworks. I was wondering about some stufffff..... I was thinking about inoculating the bag and then putting it into a growing bin which is actually this thing: Kool Mate? 32 It has hot and cool settings. How neat. Product description says it gets up to 155?F. It feels humid inside, when I stick my hand in there it feels tropical. I'm going to try to get a thermometer and see what the average temp is. What I'm getting at though: would it be OK, if the temp was right, to stick the bag into the bin during the colonizing stage, with the lid closed? Contamination risk or any other probs? Mazatapec strand colonizes at temp range of 84-86?F, is it very important for it to be that temp? When it myceliumized and is prepared for da fruitin, my house is usually 72-74?F so that should be just dandy. If I could keep it in the bin that would be dandy too. I could open the lid and it would be ready, I could stick it by a window after the mycelium has populizedated the bizzag (no humans can see through the window, hopefully anything that can see won't tell). Any help, answers, suggestions are appreciated

It'd prolly be ok to keep it in there during colonisationprovided that you kept temps down and provided sum air exchange stagnant air can spell con tamsremember to that the spawn will give off sum heat on its own and you dont want thermal death to occur due to to high temps from out side combined with in side, and make sure you clean that thing up good first with a water bleach mixture or lysol or other disinfectant.

I am going to stick the bag in a space above my refridgerator, it stays at 82*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you think it is OK to innoculate the bag in my bathroom? Everyone seems to be all about wearing gloves, spraying and all that....does it really need to be SQUEAKY CLEAN?

Well here's an update...Had the 2-3cc innoculated Myco Enviro Bag sitting in a cabinet above fridge, in shipping box for 3 days. Got impatient and exposed it to a little light to see what's going on...Nothing at all except the bag feels more maleable, like the substrate is a lot easier to move now so I massaged it around, saw some metallic stuff...Didn't payt oo much attention, put it back in cabinet above fridge but out of the bag this time. I am probably going to check it again on Sunday. Also, the bag felt warm so it must be getting the heat it needs.
Wish I had seen some colonization, but glad to see there aren't any contams!!!
