Tonne of Speed seized in mystery East End super drugs bust

POLICE have seized thousands of ecstasy tablets and nearly a tonne of speed in an East End drugs bust.

They finally released details on April 17 of the raid in Bethnal Green a month before, but won't disclose where it actually took place.

Officers found 120grms of Cocaine, 1,000 Ecstasy tablets, 700kgrms of Speed and 200 millilitres of Ketamine anaesthetics (also used as a club drug) at the mystery location.

Also in the haul kept under wraps were large amounts of cash, artwork and a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, which cops say is more popular in the US than in Britain.

A 44-year-old has since been charged with possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

I does seem like a personal stash(except the meth). I mean why would you have 200mL of K, a qp of coke and 1,000 tabs when you have a ton of meth. Kind of a messed up ratio.

Sorry if I'm mistaken but isn't Crystal Meth the same as speed? This doesn't make any sense,

What does artwork have to do with any of this, and why did they take it? Was it stolen or something?
