if i turn it up high and get it hot whenever i open the door i can stack my jars next to them and quickly dump in the grain. but what im wondering is will the hot air current from the oven keep my jars safe?

??? What? If you are going to PC, then you don't need a hood to put the grain in the jars...

Oven tek is bogus. FACT Heat convection moves air.

not a good idea.from what i've read the oven tek is bunk. use a still air glove box for any procedures where cleanliness is essential. if your "dumping grain" prior to pc'ing you don't need to take any special precautions.

im going a g2g^ and i know air moves but its moving from expansion because gases expand when they get hotter. SO if i put all my jars infront of the over door and then ovened it and placed them on the rack while hot air is escaping I doubt there will be any spores in the air that will flow towards the air blast

no
if you could...
people probably wouldn't be making flowhoods...
would they?

you would be better off using...
a flowhood, glove box, still air box, giant see through plastic bag.
I'd probably even go as far to say you would be better off doing an open air G2G transfer...
as long as you don't have a draft in the room.
the Oven is not a good option...IMHO

it's not a recommended practice. but you may get away with it.good luck. i prefer to use my glove box (well, shelves) personally.

Go to ANY mega-mart. Buy the LARGEST see through tote YOU CAN FIND. They are not that expensive. Convert it to a G/B. Doesn't take any genius, or expensive tools.
