It doesn't matter how close they were together. Ive seen galerina growing right next to subs quite a few times.

Probably, like us down south, still waiting for some decent rains... Still pretty mild out my way too, but this will pass, not too sure about the rain though...

Yo y'all:
I am a NSW kind of guy. Pretty close to the city but in some of the local national park/bush track little places, as well as an extremely large woodchipped area, I have been finding tons of different species ranging from coral fungi to stinkhorns to a huge ugly mofo I have no idea about. All after a few days rain recently.
Haven't found any active style ones yet (although I thought I had on my mum's front lawn, which turned out to be a witch's hat as I was educated) but I will keep my eyes skinned and we'll see how it goes? I have no doubts I can find some in my area once properly educated, given the right circumstances, and searching hard enough.

The other day while driving near my house I noticed some Ipomoea violacea (heavenly blue) growing in abundance down near a park/creek area.
So maybe I will do some harvesting of that before continuing mushrooming?!

Pity that last pic is a bit dark to see
Tech: I haven't found any in and around North Sydney as of yet, i don't think its nearly cold enough in the inner city yet but you never know. A few days of showeres followed by soaking rain are forecast for the middle and end of this week so here's hoping

Current weather forecasts predict a solid week of rain in early June for Sydney. And with weather starting to drop to below 10 overnight, I guess mid-June will be the hot ticket.

Had my worst haul of the season last Friday, areas that were sproutin actives nicely for the few previous weeks had none at all, or very few. I put this down to a lack of rain, goin for another hunt tomorrow so here's hoping things have been pickin up the last week
