can sombody tell my why my trips will only last 2-2.5 hours? its very annoying

Maybe you are expecting too much out of trips. I gave my friend an eighth of potent shrooms for his first time, and he was expecting so much that he claimed (during the peak) he was getting no effects. I told him to chill out and not expect it, and he tripped out hard for a few hours.

If you only count the peak of the trip as being "tripping" and not the come up or come down, then yes it will most likely only be 2 - 2.5 hours long. The comedown is one of the most major parts of shrooming for me ... I don't look at it like "Damn it's over, this sucks" I think in the sense of "That was a great experience" and I think over what I experienced.

Anyway, I can't help very much because it can depend on a lot of factors, but maybe these will help.

you're no different than the rest of us; the major effects do only last for 2-2.5 hours...in my experience anyways.

could be your metabolism as well. You can see people all dose the same substance and for some the ride will last for 4-7 hours and for others like yourself it only lasted half that. You can't fight the genetics life gave you...simply learn to enjoy what ya got!

PS - Going in without expectations is great advice. The only thing you should expect is that each trip will be unique. Don't always expect the same things to happen over and over. That's why psychedelics are so intriguing to a lot of trippers.

How are you dosing?
I know when I drink mushroom tea, the effects seem stronger, but only last a few hours. Might be in the way you are taking them

the only thing i can think of is that ive been tripping off of these psylocibin pills, a clear capsul filled with white powder. but my friends that do it with the pills as well will still be tripping for 6 hours. i suppose its just my metabolism, so ill just deal. eventualy ill get my hands on some real shrooms, but nowhere in the 6 surrounding towns is there a dealer with the fugus in there possesion, so ill have to wait.
