I'd just call them bro, I havent been able to find vermiculite anywhere except the local Menards (like lowes or home depot). It was in the insulation section to be used as insulation, 3cu ft bag. Coco coir is for sure available at walmart, they also have perlite and peat moss at walmart. ez!

I've seen a pretty big bag of vermiculite at Home Depot. It was in Los Angeles or some city near Los Angeles.

Coco coir is sold at pet stores as a bedding for reptiles and such... just so you know...

I don't remember where I saw the coir at...but it was either Home Depot or Lowes. And I've never found vermiculite at Home Depot, nobody there even knew what it was and kept pointing me in some random direction telling me where it was, only to find out they didn't carry it at all. Only place I've found vermiculite is at Lowes. Between the two, I can get pretty much everything I need though.
Like antimatt3 suggested, just give them a call and find out. Chances are you'll find one or the other though.

All verm sold in the US in EPA regulated. Enviromental Protection Agency, they tend to regulate most of the contingent 50 states. Check out and call before you head all the way, I've had luck getting Verm about every place from lowes, home depot, to mom and pop shops like westlakes and smaller lawn and nusury centers could definitly order it for you. I currently have plenty of verm if you really can't find it PM me.

just recently i was frustrated when trying to get vermiculite. i have been told that after asbestos had been found in the vermiculite alot of factorys have since stoped making it, and some of them supply major chains like lowes, fred myer, ace hardware, and ect. i finaly found some at a hole in the wall hydroponic store. i'd say hydroponic stores or feed stores would be your best bet.
