NOTE; I COULDN"T FIND A SPECIFIC ANSWER VIA POST-SEARCH
A friend of mine has 11 BRF/Verm Pftek .5 pints. They have been colonizing for 34 days at 80 degrees. They are just now completely covered with mycelium...I know it has been VERY slow-going. Anyway I know he needs to keep them incubated for another week, but he has taken one of the cakes out dunked for 20 hours rolled in verm and set it up in his perelite fruiting chamber. What can he now expect from this cake even though it hasnt colonized for that extra week? Will it yield alot less? How long with perfect conditions can he expect it to take to harvest two to three grams dried? thanks

Since you didn't let it go the extra week it may take another week for the pins to form. After that 4-5 days until the fruits mature. So, all in all, about two more weeks. hooray!

when ever my jars colonize slow, i definitely give them an extra full week of colonization after the outside is covered. it may not have been fully colonized on the inside, but it may have been. it's something id rather give a week and wait to rather than rolling the dice.

yea i found out the hard way... even if your a peeker like me its better to wait a hav a little invetro pinning and have them be fully colonized then to risk them not being fully colonized. they stand a lesser chance of contams that way. good luck though..... i jus dunked and rolled mine today and now im playing the waiting gaME
