They're playing in Birmingham on the 19th and in St Louis on 4/20. Anybody going to these shows and wanna meet up and smoke down? Hit me up!
Also, we are going to the Orange Beach Alabama Widespread Panic shows on the 27th and 28th. ANybody that's going that wants to meet up and/or needs a place to crash, let me know.

Nobody yet, huh? Oh well. I'm trying to convince Krishna to come down to St Louis. I offered him a ride back to Chicago and a free place to crash. I hope he comes. He's a damn cool cat to kick it with!

You should. The St Louis show is only 19 bucks! Plus, the after party is going to be off the chain, as well.

hey hey, so just told you this on the phone but i thought i'd post intimate details from my life so the whole shroomery community can be in on it - my buddy percy thinks i can catch a ride with them down to st louis. now you need to find a way to get sunday off of work, so yall can come through to kzoo on saturday and then go to the big free earthday show at the zoo in chicago on sunday!
assuming charlton heston doesn't rise up and part the red sea not in my favour, i'll be dancing with you guys and the munchkin on friday!

alright! just talked to a friend who lives in chicago - he's actually moving to LA on friday, but his girl is still staying there, so we could probably crash there on saturday; but i kinda/sorta promised a ride to that earth day show to a few friends in kzoo, so depending on the time, we could probably make it back to michigan on saturday, spend the night here, and then caravan it back to chicago on sunday. plus then we could hit up bell's eccentric cafe for the world's bestest beer saturday evening it's a rental car, yeah? i'll kick down for gas and we can run it into the ground

So, it's 5 hours 20 minutes until showtime! Then, the after party. Wee! It all starts now.
The weekend!! STS9 tonight with Kaptain Harris and dj Roots as the after party. Tomorrow, we leave for St Louis tyo meet up with Krishna and see sts9 at The Pageant. May or may not go to that after party. We got a free hotel room and free tickets for that night, too.
Saturday, we are driving up to Chicago to hang out and drink good beer. Maybe we can meet up with some Chi-town Shroomerites. Maybe Bobo, or Electrode or someone else.
Sunday is Earth Day and Mad Professor, Disco Biscuits, and Umphree's McGee are playing a free show at The Zoo.
A whole weekend of roaming around and dancing our asses off!!
Yay!!

Listening to STS9 for the first time ever right now. Not bad. Not my style of music to put on very often, but I'm diggin' it, and I can only imagine live it would be tight as shit. Hopefully I can get to one of those summer concerts that they're at.

Okay, we made it back to Birmingham! Phew! That was some hella_driving! We left K-zoo at around 9:30am cst and just walked in the door about 10 minutes ago. It all seems like a blur of endless fields and yellow lines.
Next time, we will definitely be better prepared. We should have just gone to the St Louis show and drove over to Nashville the next day for the other sts9 show, but we had a great time with Krishna. All except Elijah's crying sessions.
I have to go for now, but I'll fill you all in on all of the fucked up shenanigans that occured.
Oh and Krishna's comp has some issues with the E key. As you can tell by my last post.

nice... well you got a shimmy and i love getting down to that song. purchase was pretty pumpin though this weekend. there was like a 2 day festival on campus. i saw 2 really awesome bands Man Man and Aa, who were the best of the whole weekend in my opinion. Rasputina was here and so was Girl Talk and Slick Rick. but i was t hinking about chicago the whole time. I miss it a lot out there i think about the midwest nearly everyday. I got my film processed i'm gonna print osme pictures out of Dyre and K-Zoo. Hey what's the latest on the EPA business there and the dredging of the K-Zoo river? what's going down?

cool definitely upload any nifty pics oh, and the run like hell wasn't quite as sick as the last one i heard (that 12/30/05 show we were at), but kashmir was pretty cool
as far as the pcb dumping, they are still currently going ahead with it but there is a lot of oppostion, both just from citizens and in the city council. so we'll see.
haha, speaking of fucked up polluting schemes, driving back from st louis we saw a giant hill type thing that we were speculating was a used up garbage dump that they just planted grass over to conceal

Yea the Run Like Hells are hit or miss. I'm glad it was a good time but that really sucks about the whole PCBs and shit. I've been telling everyone i know about it. and about the landfills, i mean isn't the whole idea with landfills to make them look like natural hills? that's what the landfills around here look like.

Yeah, danksis was telling me how they run these breather pipes out of the tops of these "hills" to let them out gas. Man, humanity is really in the shitter! I'm not helping much, but damn!
On a side note, DAMNIT!! I knew we were going to forget something! We always do. It is almost a given that we lose something on each of our road trips. We'll just get it from you later on, Krishna. It was only like 10 bucks at Wal-Mart. Anyway, I had a helluva time! I wish it would have went smoother, but it was definitely one for the storybooks!
