Nightmares
    #6799044 - 04/17/07 10:17 AM (17 years, 4 days ago)

I got to thinking about my nightmares this morning, and I realized that the great majority of them are very similar. They all tend to take place in a house that's unfamiliar to me, they have a puzzle-vibe, there's always some dead or dying old person (usually an old woman) involved, and there are clues. I had one with all of these things last night. The first time a dream like this happened, the house was an oversized dollhouse, and there was a huge goblin with a butcher knife inside.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

Do I have a fear of dead old ladies? Probably.

I never used to have recurring nightmares.. and these aren't all exactly the same - just similar. Does this happen to a lot of people?

I posted this nightmare in another thread about dreams a few days ago, but ill quote myself here.
Quote:

When I was younger I had a reoccurring dream that a giant was carrying me by the scruff of my neck, while walking down a long dark hallway. Every once and a while the giant would stop and show me some fucked up, terrifying shit in separate rooms along the hall, like a man being torn apart.
When I would franticly protest to the giant and cry, he would turn me to face him and say, in an extremely sympathetic and friendly voice, "I'm only trying to scare you." like a child who had just been told that his good intentions were wrong. Then we would continue down the hall.

Somewhere I read that a house represents the mind. Upstairs=Higher consciousness and downstairs= primitive consciousness or subconsciousness.

Other people are just you disguised.
I get a lot of recurring dreams about being in some house that I don't recognize.

So you're saying the dead old female facet of my unfamiliar higher consciousness needs attention?

That sounds about right. :smile2:
