Well, it seems that there is a battle inside one of my birdseed jars.





The thing is this though, it seems that the mycelium is actually starting to eat the nasty green/black critter. It actually looks like the same stuff that is the bottom of my shower...ewwwww.....(the basement shower that is)

Now, I'm just going to let this jar go and see what happens since it is a cloned jar and I wouldn't want to potentially waste an isolated strain like that.

If the myc fully kicks its ass, will there be any nasty potential side effects from eating a fruit off this jar?

I believe that by keeping the temperature down a bit it will give the myc a better chance of killing off its unwelcome guest. At least it seems that ever since I moved it away from its warmth source the green/black growth has slowed and the myc is slowing taking it over.

Any comments?

I'll post pics of whomever comes out ahead.
