No-Flame LC Loading Tek Pictorial

I know a lot of the "old-hands", and self-proclaimed "professionals" have no problem with this, but I thought I might post what "works for me":
I start off with the proper materials set out before me, and then apply the latex (or nitrile which I prefer) gloves.

From left to right: needle pre-sterilized with alcohol, spray bottle full of alcohol, gloved hands, magnetic "vortexer", healthy colonized LC, new or previously sterilized syringe (60cc is nice, large enough not to have to refill 6, 10mL syringes, but small enough to handle).
The needle is pulled from it's cover, the cover is (gently) sprayed full of alcohol (91% in this case), then the needle is slid back into alcohol-filled cover, and then alcohol is sprayed into the open end of the needle:

It is then loaded directly onto the syringe:

The LC is vortexed (mixed):

The micropore tape covering the hole is sprayed with alcohol, the needle unsheathed, and is plunged through the soaked micropore while still very wet:

Filled:

Then a large piece of aluminum foil is laid out with a paper-towel liner; the syringe is placed on top, and the entire paper-towel and syringe combination is sprayed with alcohol until soaked:

Wrapped up:

Slid into the glove-box through the covered arm-hole in which the pre-sterilized environment awaits:

Voila! I sit back, and wait for a bit to let the alcohol vaporize and do it's magic to the air. The alcohol bottle itself will be wiped with alcohol soaked gloved hands, and slid in through an armhole as well. Hand-sanitizer is used on arms, and then gloves are re-sprayed with alcohol, rubbed for a moment to coat, and slid in through the arm-holes.
Time to inoculate!
I like to do about 1.5-2mL of LC per pint jar then shake; I've found that the honey (in this case) accelerates growth within the jar, and doesn't throw off water content as much as if you over-did it with a multispore inoculation.

Nice procedure. I don't go to such lengths, but it doesn't hurt.
It will be good to add the amount of LC you use for inoculation of a quart jar, so it will be complete.

I got a small-ass PC; those are pint jars.
However, properly prepared pints...I squirt about 1.5-2mL of LC per jar then shake vigorously to cover each grain with shiny goodness.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Nearly exactly what I do aside from the fact that I only use alcohol on the syringe itself and use bleach solution for everything else

I will start doing that once a pick up some bleach; the vapors from isopropyl can be quite overwhelming.

If you are doing it to avoid alcohol fumes I think you will be quite disappointed when you realize that bleach fumes actually make it impossible to breath if you inhale them by accident,Reminds me of those godforsaken tablets you put in a swimming pool

I'm not familiar with the "RedBoy" tek, however, any method to suspend the mycelium strands should suffice.

it is taking a 100%colonized jar of rye in a glove box dump in sterilized water and shake the crap out of it then pour it back in the empty jar using the lid to be sure no grains are dumped it looks like a very heavily grown lc

Success with any inoculation tek is usually solely dependent upon your sterile technique.
