You can get them from Big Lots for cheap $10-$15.

Those are neat. My friend bought one and it lasted a week. If your's lasts longer, then it's a great tool to have. Good luck.

Here's the trick with them:
  • USE ONLY REFINED BUTANE. Like Triple Refined is best. Very Clean Burn.


These torches use only a small amount of butane so get the good stuff.:thumbup:

i had thought of getting one of those "gun" type bbq lighters with a view to cauterizing casings.
haven't had one yet(contam that is,touch wood) but,i thought the heat may just help spread contams around.
i would appreciate your input on any such use.

The cheap one I bought broke after a few uses!

Ended up getting a more expensive Blazer PT 4000 (http://blazerproducts.com/tools/pt4000.html).

It's a nice idea, but that particular product is junk.  I ordered from that eBay seller, and the torch I received broke after one use.  :thumbdown:

i have of these my dad got it back a few years ago but i remember we paid a dollar at big lot's but we never seem to found any thing to use it on till my friend give me an idea about mushrooms

I find that an alcohol lamp is the best way to go for me.

Easier to get things done when I can have one hand free doing something while I flame my tools.

Regardless, it's pretty cool.

i purchased a Turbostick lighter along with my new bong and glass gauze. the things a beast first thing i did with it was melt a penny xD


btw my dad bought one of those pencil torches like 15 to 20 years ago and still has it

it looks exactly the same...
