more poo questions

I heard some brands of cow manure have human poo mixed in at a 60%cow 40%human rate before it cant be legally labeled as cow manure. They buy the human poo from waste management centers.
Theres stages of hpoo degradation that can be based on color; dark brown to light brown to hay; im guessing light brown to hay is the good poo. but cow poo stays dark brown? so is super old hpoo the best? or just old enuf? I read any stage between dirt smelling and really old is good; but wich ones best? post a paint swatch lol

I seriously doubt they would use human poo. Why would they? It would cost alot more than just collecting what they have there.

I dunno about the human shit but either way bagged cow manure is not your best bet. You want horse poo... If you can't find it yourself then order from mycopath or tennstud check the sponsor forum and make your decision.
If you are finding your own poo your looking for more then colour. Texture is also important. You don't want poo that is broken down to a point it looks like good garden soil. You want it to retain it's hay-like texture a bit. If it's loaded with white specs this is a good thing. The white fungus looking growth is a micro-organism called fire-fang it's a great source of food to mushroom mycelium. If the manure is at this stage it wont smell like piss. If it does smell like piss, that means the manure hasn't been weathered enough. You can still use the poo but you must leach out the ammonia first by watering it and letting it dry in the sun till it no longer smells.
You can further improve on regular manure by making up a specially designed compost mixture with the prime ingredients horse poo and straw.. Agar made a pretty simple tek. If you don't have a barrel you can create a composter with a variety of materials depending on how hands on and innovative you are. Link

I have NEVER seen human fecal matter. That looked like this, shredded & dried. Mushrooms PREFER a high fiber substrate.

QFT.
