The website looks great. Looks like your business is going off like a rocket, didn't you start your business just a few months ago??
Anyways I was wondering about your TIME RELEASED FERTILIZER, what is it and how do I use it??

What is the story behind your mushroom compost?
The mushroom compost I am aware of is the waste from mushroom farms, pretty much the stuff the mushrooms didn't use while growing. As I understand this would make very poor substrate for mushroom cultivation.

Czx - Thanks for your comments about the site. Actually, Dr. Bluethumbs has been is business for over a year now. First getting our start here in the forums, then moving to a web site under the Shroomery. Then in March we registered our URL.
Time Released Fertilizer is a product containing the necessary nutrients and minerals for healthy mushroom growth. It is a great additive to any substrate or casing layer, if used properly it can boost crop yields up to 80%. The proper usage is 3% of your total dry weight. So if you have 100 grams of dry matter you would add 3g of time released mushroom fertilizer. But don't over do it (more is not better!), it could kill your mycelium or slow growth to a very low minimum. We sell this product by the ounce ($1.00 plus shipping) or pound ($12.00 plus shipping).
Joshua- Mushroom compost is not waste material from "mushroom farms." Our Mushroom Compost is composed of fresh ingredients specially formulated and prepared by Dr. Bluethumbs. The mixture uses a wheat straw base, with peat moss, horse manure, rape seed, urea and gypsum. We sell this product in 5 and 10 lbs. bags, and are on sale now.

Road, like i said - AT least it was profesional and business like response. it seems to me that MM wasn't flaming or causing problems in this thread. i doubt Bluethumbs will mind MM coming into his thread if he provides profesional answers.
maybe this is a step towards burying the flaming hatchet between the 2?

I hope your right.
but until he takes that flame fest link to the Thunderdome out of his signature, he can stay out of Dimitri's threads.
its just not right.

Is this the same compost that he has been selling all along? Back in January I think he said he was running out of it. I was hoping to see some results from someone off of it. I haven't been able to get it to work accept when I supplement it with straw and spawn mate, and even then results were weaker than I expected. I have talked to others who have also had difficulties using it. It seems not to be too optimal for mushroom growth. Of course I used his old stuff, I am hoping he has some new compost that will work.
I don't want to start any trouble. Dimitri has been very generous in the past. I have just been getting a few PMs from people who have spent quite a bit of money on his compost and have received very poor results.
I would like to keep this correspondence civil.

Our Mushroom Compost was previously prepared and pasteurized in bulk, then individually bagged, when the compost was used "fresh" the results were great but as the compost sat, even in bags, it seemed to change for the worse.
This product has gone through some refinement. By changing the composition slightly, and now producing it in much smaller batches, then bagging it when ordered - we have been getting excellent results reported to us through our testers and customers.

Unfortunately by being a Vendor, we cannot legally discuss or give direct advice on these mushrooms (yields, methods, etc.). Hopefully some knowledgeable forum readers can answer your questions.
Yes, the substrate in our Magic Bags is pre-sterilized and you can fruit right in the bag.

Can you answer questions like:
Can I buy your blatently ripped off magic bucket, or can I perhaps buy your bags that you stole from sporeworks??
Or perhaps can I possibly, if I'm lucky get treated like a jerk by dimitri who makes a regular pastime of insulting customers and behaving like a child who lost his lollypop?
Just a few questions, hope they are not hard.

Hi Doc! ordered one of your MGB's yesterday and was wondering if you put any of your fertilizer in the BRFV. Do you?
