LOL, Old Six Tango is still hanging in there. Same old same old, excepting. Morphine/Demerol in your coffee makes for weird days. Going camping alone in the high Sierra's. As soon as the snow is off. Trout in those high lakes will be hungry then. Tippin is looking forward to summer off from collage. Kids & grandkids, well... what can I say, except. They could f/u a bowling ball bare handed.

You sterilize it, in an autoclave bag. Then, you insert feed tube in large LC. Then, inoculate 700 spawn bags.

For those who don't know. It is a Socorex, self-refilling inoculation gun. http://www.socorex.ch/scrx-produit.php?id_langue=en&id_domaine=2&mode_view=1&id_groupe=19&id_modele=72 Best quality in the world. There are cheaper guns out there. But, none as good as a Socorex. You can adjust dose from 1/2 ML to 10 ML, per shot. It auto-refills after each shot, from a bulk container. 10ML one runs about $98 + s/h.

glad to hear that your doing ok bro!~

I bet the drugs do make things a little different. sorry!~
The Camping in the Mountains and fishing sounds good.

I go up to this one Alpine Lake in the Cascades that is loaded with Large Trout. The snow doesn't clear sometimes until June or July...though. I took RR up there with me...he liked it.
I bet Trippin is looking forward to the summer... say hello to her for me.
I just had my first grandkid...recently. I wasn't very happy about that!~ lolzz

Woah damn 700 spawn bags thats one big ass autoclave. What are you going to use that much spawn for? Please make sure to show pics of your dried harvest. I'm pretty sure I would cream my jeans.

Light dry malt/dry-dextrose 50/50 mix @ 4% solution ratio. (light dry malt gives it the amber beer color)
I PC'ed that gallon jar 30 minutes. Around 16/18 psi. Because it is so big. I wanted to insure it was sterile.
If you want an LC almost crystal clear. Use 90% dry dextrose/10% light dry malt. PC around 12/13 psi, 15/16 minutes.

What would be the advantages of adding the malt instead of just using a sugar? I know that most agar recipes use malt or potatoe dextrose I am just courious about why.

DME has more organic compounds & serves as a wider base of nutrients. After all, LC for spawn goes into seed/grains. (many of which beer is made from) It seems with DME added to an LC. It colonizes seed/grains more aggressively.
It's a preference thing. I prefer it.

Great setup! Just two questions: 1) How much LC do you use (and what is the size of the grain jars/bags)? 2) What do you use to inoculate the LC?
