whats causing my pins to abort?

Does anyone know what could be causing my pins to abort all the time? I had 10 cakes all of them aborted although I had a great pin set. The best thing I can think of is that they didn't get enough fresh air but i'm not sure if that is what causes all my pins to abort because I fanned it every day and had a fan circulating with holes in the side of the tub.. I am using perlite humidification.

If you mist small pins/primorida, then don't properly dry them out immediately, they'll abort. You need to raise air exchange drastically after misting for that purpose. Leave the lid off the terrarium until the pins dry off.
High CO2 levels are another thing that causes pins to abort. Mycelium can form primordia in conditions that can't sustain a flush, so lots of air exchange is very important throughout the fruiting process.
If those aren't the causes, weak genetics sometimes will produce flushes that abort. In that case, just isolate good fruiting strains or roll the dice again with multispore. RR

thanks Roger. I had a feeling it might be the strain. I have some cakes with different strains going so I will see how that goes. Also I'll be giving them more fresh air next time.

Do you have a hygrometer to test your humidity? How often is your fan on? You might be fanning all your humidity away if it is on too much or all the time, especially if you're just using perlite.
Just a thought, otherwise, what the others said.
Hope you have better luck...
