can you dunk straw or manure?

i dunk my birdseed cakes and even my birdseed that is cased, and i was wondering if i would still be able to dunk when i spawn to straw and manure or not.

You sure can, but you want to make sure your substrate is fully colonized first. This may seem like common sense to some, but your experience level is unknown to me.

Dunking can be done and will help just as it does with other types of sub. I take this time to check the bottom of the sub for pins and contams as well.
