Time periods you wish you were around for.
    #6774811 - 04/11/07 12:08 PM (16 years, 11 months ago)

I always fantasize about this and there are two time periods i wish i was this age for New York/Paris between the 1920-1940's particularly the Art Scene. there was so much interesting and moving art in the time period. It was an especially important time period for photography. when things were flurishing, the days of Henri Cartier Bresson and weston, ansel adams. i mean i know it was a hsitty time in history butthere was so muchg oing on in the art scene.

And of course the second time period is the 60's. i wish so bad to experience so many bands and musicians and people during this time period. I wish i knew what it was like to go to a Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppling or pink Floyd or Beatles or Grateful Dead concerts, CSNY, and T Rex and oh man it's just too much.

what about you?

the 1700s. it was the enlightenment, Guinness was in pubs, guns were single-shot only, and you had to ride a horse to get anywhere.

that, or the middle ages around the 1300s perhaps. right around the last of the crusades.

The dawn of time. Failing that, Haight-Ashbury in the middle 60's.

I wish I could've been there for the Stanford Prison Experiment; I would've liked to take some psychedelics with Nietzsche, and I would've liked to have watched the trials for many of the notorious serial killers in the past. I only missed Richard Ramirez by a couple years. Oh, and a Doors concert.

I would like to go visit Europe during the Renaissance. Just so much happening at the time.
I also love Henri Cartier Bresson's work. Amazing photographs by that man.

As much as I dislike the current time period. I think its the most interesting in terms of our activity and circuiting. I dislike most technology and am quite frightened by what is going on concerning it....but nonetheless, it is a pretty intense time to be alive and attempt to make a meta analysis on.

Other than that I agree with a previous poster...beginning of time
and if neither are acceptable....I guess I'd have to go for the future...I'm curious to say the least.

I wouldn't rather be anywhere but here and now.

I agree. If some supernatural entity offered me the chance to be born at a different time than what I was I'd probably turn him down.

Depending on how far in the future you go, you might be very lonely.
