Help with identification!
    #676984 - 06/13/02 03:43 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

My friend and I found these shrooms becuase it's been raining on and off lately. I was wondering if these look like they're anything (I've found pictures similar, but they can't be a definite indentification, of course). The pictures make them look more yellowish than they actually are. Also, how do you do a stain, and print? Sorry if this seems like too much, or too moochy. :P

To bruise them you just pinch the stem and wait about 30 min.
To print them you chop the stem off as close to the cap as possible, then put the cap gill side down on some paper(light paper for dark gills and vise versa), then wait over night. In the morning pick up the cap and you should see a print.

I suggest that you print these guys and let us know what color the spores are.

It printed as a redish brown. So you think they're safe, but inactive? Man! I'll keep on shrooming around!

Dude, one question. Do you bite your nails?

Those aren't active, it isn't worth eating them. You should get black/purplish, or black spores for them to be psilocybes.
Where do you live? Maybe I could help you by telling you where to look around.
