Honey LC contam

Howdy. I have a honey LC sitting in an incubator. After about 2 weeks, I notice the mycelium cloud has little brown in it. It just kind of floats around with the white mycelium. There are also specs of dirt (?). I don't have a picture. Judging from your own experiences, is there ANY chance this isn't a contam? I'm not really expecting good news...

Honey LC often contains some sediment. If you PC'ed a little long. Stuff turns a bit caramel color.
You may be okay. Don't move/swirl it for several days. If any funk (dark) stuff grows a film on top. It's contaminated. If not, you are probably good to go.

Also...if you've used something metal as a stir-rod then it will rust, and when you give it a spin the rust dislodges into the solution.
It doesn't hurt anything, and if you use the same oxidized nail (or whatever) it shouldn't happen again.
