temperatures and casing

are casings very susceptible to temperature? I know that cakes will fruit at some high temps, but will casings. My quesion really pertains to the step where you are suppose to let the mycelia overtake the casing at high temps. Will it work if the temp is already at 78-79F?

If you are growing any type of Cubensis, they are a very diverse Mushroom. Paul Stamets Mushrooms culitvator says optimum for fruiting is 74-78 F. Im sure that 79 would also work. Someone will correct me if im wrong. It also states that you need to incubate at 84-86, i found in my experience that i usually incubate at about 78 and fruit at 70. It works just fine for me, i found the colder temps work better all around, im growing Acadian Coast at the moment. Well Gl to you.

some cubes like high temps.
Cambodians are said to like real warm weather.
I'm going to do an outdoor bed.....and its been getting real hot here.

if you are talking about being worried about the mycelium over taking the casing layer and getting overlay because of higher temps.....there is a chance of that happening....if it starts to overlay just cold shock the casing again.

take care!
