Is this enough mycelium for inoculation?
    #6767583 - 04/09/07 09:17 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

After 2 weeks of waiting the mycelium didn't look too thick however I went ahead and made syringes.

Does this look like enough mycelium to inoculate 10cc per spawn bag? or since there is not much mycelium should I use majority of the syringe per spawn bag?

your help is greatly greatly appreciated

well man it took two weeks for so little mycelium I figured I'd give it a shot...

Do you think I should try and eliminate some of the excess water or should I make my substrate dryer?

I think you should incubate it for two more weeks.

what did you use for your lc? i have tried karo and had results simaler to yours. go to a farmers market and buy a jar of honey, one pint jar will last a long long time if thats all ur using it for. not sure why but i always seem to have great luck with honey, my last jars were all fluffy inside in less than a week, that was lc to lc which is always fast,  but even in the case of tisue cultures it was a week and still much thicker than your pic. i would take some of what you have in that container and squirt some in to a honey jar

I have been there and back, although it was somthing i had to do i dont recomend it for others, at least not with my travel agent.

how long does it usually take for karo LC's to complete?

and I think I'll do all of the above, I'll incubate what I haven't used, noc up some honey and noc up a spawn bag coprised of straw, brewers yeast and brf

not sure about the karo's i kind of just left them after the honey jars took off. 2 out of four honey jars were dont after 5 days the other two finished in about 7. lc to lc is pertty fast.
