!Help! Pinning, Cobweb, and Peroxide
    #6765047 - 04/09/07 12:22 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I have three pins coming up on my "obserdly overprised" Homestead Kit.
Unfortunatly I also have the begining of cobweb mold. I treated the cob with peroxide spray everywhere I saw it except one place. One of my pins is growing in the mold. It's growths seems just fine. Should I spray it also? Will it kill my baby if I do? I'm Freakin' out man! Please Help!

Peroxide will kill cobweb IF you catch it in time,it does damage mycelium as well but not to the degree that it is going to destroy your mushroom,I say spray away and hope for the best, good luck:thumbup:

Are you sure it's cobweb? I've panicked before to find it was cubensis mycelium. It can be quite whispy at times.

Pics would be helpful.

If it is cobweb, it will overrun the fruit itself and ruin it, so you'll have to spray the entire surface of the casing layer three times, 12 hours apart. As said, make sure it's really mold. Pictures are helpful, or search the hundreds of pictures of dactylium that have already been posted for comparison.

Yea, no cobweb there. Don't assault your mycelium anymore.
