Any geniuses online tonight?

One brick of coir and one gallon of 170oF water in a 5 gallon bucket.

There is a temperature probe on the bottom (outside) of the 5 gallon bucket.

The bucket is suspended so that it is not on the floor being insulated.

The temperature guage (probe) says 103.5oF (now after about an hour and a half).

The room tempeature says 80.1oF.

There is a lid on the bucket.

How long until the coir will be cool enough to spawn to (room tempeature)?

Yes, I AM bored. LOL

17.3 minutes assuming same rate and exactly 1.5 hours already passed. I think.

i believe that there is a radial curve to temperature equalization. my guess is another hour and a half if lid stays on

I'm impatient.

I've been waiting on poo for a month as of today,
and the rye grain spawn is started to shrink.

Waiting is definitely better than cooking the spawn though. :tongue:
