Can I fruit these jars?
    #6763034 - 04/08/07 09:40 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I have about 10 grain jars that look like the ones in the pic below. They have been like this for about 6 days and it doesn't seem like they are colonizing any further. Is it safe to fruit these now or is there a way to get them to fully colonize? I have turned them upside down and it didn't help

Looks ready. It's common for the grains pushed up against the glass to look like that. After shaking to break them up for spawning, make sure they smell like fresh mushrooms, or don't use them.

Ok sweet. I thought that each grain had to be completely covered in mycelium so that you can't even see the grains, but I guess thats good enough. Thanks RR

Nah those are covered well enough. Might wanna leave them for a few more days anyway, though.
