You don't give very much information about how you put them in there. I keep my jars off the floor of my pressure cooker with a bunch of stones just thrown in there. The water only sits about half an inch up the side of the jar this way, and I don't have any problems with water getting in there even when the cooker's heated and the water's bubbling.
I octuple wrap my jars - for capping, I start with a piece of tinfoil that's more than twice as wide and long as the width of the jar, then fold it over twice to make a cap that's four layers thick and that fits the jar very comfortably. I put on two (one for the undercap, which I pierce with inoculation holes and secure to the jar with a rubber band, and one for the lid). I do this because the brand of tinfoil I use comes out a perfect width for this, and I'm too lazy to make nice neat cuts and economise.
You probably shouldn't need to go to these lengths, but just make sure your jars are nice and sealed with no visible leaks (use rubber bands and Blu Tack if you're unsure) and you shouldn't have any problems with water getting into the jar.

Didn't read your other thread but put tinfoil on them and elastics at the base of the lid. Also, I tighten my jars lids all the way...not paying attention to the 'leave them loose' philosophy. Also, make sure that the water in your pc doesn't go too high up the jars.

i don't even use foil. all i do is punch two small holes in the lid. then on one hole i place a dab of rv silicone (above and below to make sure it will stay for a while)for an injection port. then on the other hole i place a little piece of micropore tape 'Nexcare - Gentle Paper Tape' (micropore tape) from Walmart.
then i just soak and simmer the grain as usual and make sure it's well drained. that's it. never had a problem with water. works great.
