PF Tek BRF/Verm Substrate 1/2 pints Hawaiian strain
Innoced jars 22 days ago. The sides have growth up to about 3/4. They seemed to have really slowed down the last few days. I have loosened lids, turned upside down, and smacked the cakes to loosen. Just now I turned a clear bin on its side, hosed it out with lysol and carefully open the lid straight up about half an inch and exposed the top for two seconds. This will reinitiate growth right? I dont know what else to do. Last week I noticed growth about every 12 hours...now they havent grown any in two-three days according to a sharpie marker line I drew. Any suggestions?

I have the same strain going now...
It also took mine awhile to colonize completely...but i opened the lids after about a week and a half...and they took off like crazy...mine loved it and covered the rest of the jar really quickly.
It never showed pins tho (probably should have waited an extra week for then to start..but too impatient) after a week so i birthed mine.
good luck

Theres really no need at all to wait for pins invitro but it is important to make sure the cakes are completely colonized THROUGHOUT this usually occurs about 3-4 days after the outside of the cakes are fully colonized. Full colonization is also a pinning trigger little recognized and is a survival trigger. So while some are still waiting you can be well on your way to a small harvest!
