maybe it was just a bad night for GSP. I'm sure we all expected alot more out of him.

But people do forget Serra's always been a tought son of a bitch, whos only finished loss was somewhat of a freak KO.


Yeah though, I'm very happy for Serra, the guy's part of mma history in this country if you think about it...

Another sad GSP fan here too.

Even though I was sure he(GSP) would win, I was defending serra to the full extent...never underestimate the underdog.

He clearly was better with his hands and had some good power behind them.

Kott, being a small guy absoulutely means shit.  I don't know how long it's going to take for people to wake up to this fact.  And this fight is just another that proves it. :tongue:

It was shitty card though, but we all knew this.  The diego and josh fight was so lame and boring.

I don't know what you are thinking though, serra will run over koscheck in my opinion.

Very sad night though :thumbdown:  Possibly one of the biggest upsets

serra lost 2 very close decsions to karo and BJ penn.... he might have gotten robbbed, those fights could have gone either way.

i think aoki might now be the best bjj practicioner in all of MMA

james thompson's fight should have been stopped much earlier, it was almost sick watching him smash frye that many times

little crocop, zelg needs to learn some submission defense if he wants to get anywhere.

OMFG SOKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this guy might be the future of 205... he's with one of the best camps in all of MMA. his striking is sick obviously...the guy punches as hard if not harder than liddell...he throws bombs!! he stuffed Arona's takedown with a crazy flying sprawl. then he KOed him in one punch. dude is fucking stacked for 205, HW strength. his standup is so great, we havent even been able to see his awesome ground game, i mean he is a world class judoka. this kid is only 22, and he's KOed #3 ranked guys in the world, back to back. we might have a phenom on our hands



oh and good job to monson as well...he looke like he as getting dominated for a little bit then pulls out a sub. WAR snowman!

A guy I was rolling with the other day at my school was up with Team Quest a little bit after the Vegas show and he said Soku looks unreal for a light-heavyweight. I don't know how this guy has been hiding or whatever but man he's a beast and I hope he sticks around.

i actually thought hughes looked like his old self against lytle.

i mean yeah he wasn't able to finish him, but he did pretty much outwrestle him and snooze in his side mount for about half the match.

on a side note, it's clear to me Aoki's better than advertised since coming from SHOOTO.

I thought he'd lose his debut against Jason Black, simply because the level of competition he's faced up untill then was somewhat inconsistent.

He was clearly robbed against Sakurai, and it's also a testament to how good kikuchi may be.

That armbar was reminiscent of his fight with Ikemoto.


Either way, SHOOTO proves to us once again why they rape ass in all the lighter weight classes.

If you guys ever get the chance I HIGHLY recomend you go out and get the most recent Treasure Hunt.

SHOOTO is like the connisuer's mma. You'll see if you haven't already...

Diego is such a bitch he's claiming his record is 20-0. Talk about a sore loser.

After thinking about this fight some more, seeing Kos's post-fight comments and that of others, I do place more of the blaim on Diego. It was up to him to push the pace especially after losing the first round. Kos just did what he needed to do to win. I do agree that it made a for a fucking boring fight though.

it was the biggest piece of shit 2 hours of wasted time

tito didn't show for the weigh in so dana made a 2 hour piece to make tito look bad

what a waste of money - I lost a lot of respect for the UCF for that 2 hour soap opera

Koscheck posted on Diego's myspace page and wrote "19-1, happy Easter xoxo Kos" which I think is hilarious.

And Tito didn't box Dana because he wasn't being paid for it or some such nonsense is what he said.

That is some bullshit too. I'm a little disappointed with Tito over that.

When he first announced it after a fight, he said something to the effect of "We're going to fight, I don't know when. It's probably going to be really cheap on PPV, like $10 or something, or maybe we might just air it free for all you fans. This is why I do what I do, for you guys."

Then to use the excuse that he isn't getting paid? I think it was Dana's intention all along (well, at least after it was made public) to air it for free. Why would Tito expect to get paid for that?

In his interview he even said, "growing up, whenever people had beef with each other, they fought, and were friends afterwords, and that was my intention for this fight, so Dana and I could put this behind us." (loosely quoted)

He's supposed to be having an interview with someone and promised to tell his side of the story in full. I guess we'll see.

I really want to hear what Diego's excuse is too.

word for word, that's exactly what i've told everyone I know.  I was dumb enough to watch it and honestly, what you said word for word is exactly what i"m saying.

Worst 2 hour soap opera, aired only to make tito look bad.  Was such a waste of my time :thumbdown:  If i knew I'd make money off it though...I'd air it too :wink:

p.s.  It was only an hour and a half :tongue:
