LC's MUST be made & kept STERILE.

A nail hole in a lid, covered with tin foil.

Is not going to keep the content STERILE.

Start over & buy/build better lids.

This is what a clean LC should look like.

Otto is a good hand.
But, that tek may work some of the time.
It has weak spots, where contaminates can enter the jar.

I prefer 100% success.
With a ported & filtered lid.
You can do about the same tek.
the difference being, the port & filter on the lid.
The port allows you to inject/aspirate via a syringe.
A filter allows filtered gas exchange.
After boiling, tighten the lid.
Allow jar to cool to room temps.
Use a syringe to inject spore solution.

When doing so, wrap syringe needle in alc soaked paper towel.
As a condom over the needle.

You will get a far higher success rate.
