If i have already cultivated my shrooms, and have started giving them light but no pins have started sprouting yet can i stop giving them light and allow more CO2 and less oxygen so that more mycellium produces..or is it that as soon as you start the lighting process you must continue it?

I'll speculate:

If you have zero pins, then I don't think it will change anything if you remove the light. But, if you already have pins... well, shrooms are on their way, and though removing the light will prevent further pin development, the pins that you have already will develop into carpophores without any light at all.

Light is only a secondary pinning trigger, not the main one. If your substrate is fully colonized, you should be providing plenty of air exchange and bright light on a 12/12 schedule. Don't fix what isn't broken.
