nothing is wrong you need to be more patient it can take more than a week for pinning to start. also, kits suck, do it yourself.

alright...thanks...but how much oxygen should i be allowing my kit to get at this stage? and would plastic wrap across the top with holes poked in it be a good methood to allow oxygen in and co2 out while allowing light in?

Light is only a secondary pinning trigger, not the main one. Full colonization of the substrate, with an increase in air exchange are the two biggies. For best results, all the pinning triggers should be introduced at once. You'll have to say more than 'kit' to get help, and 'dirt' is what you get under your fingernails. Mushrooms don't grow on it. ok...it is a box kit i bought from high times, i followed the instructions collonized the straw which i first boiled and drained, i allowed the mycellium to grow through the straw, i steralized the soil i got with the kit, and added the spawn, the instructions told me to tape down the lid so that mycelliumn would grow through the dirt which i allowed...now i am giving it light and i dont know how much oxygen to allow in

give as much fresh air (oxygen) as possible without lowering the himidity too much. 80-95% humidity should be fine for your purposes. 85-90 being ideal.
