Aloha, I have been having problems posting pics gonig to try again. I put these in freezer last weekend. Basically this is what I have found here and being new to area want to have help with ID's. These are in East Texas and I have stored them in freezer until your help. Any tips would be great.

Did you notice any bluing??
They are perhaps Panaeolus cyanescens, aka "Copes", though, to verify this, you will need to be sure there is blue bruising.

NO. These are not Panaeolina foenisecii maire either!
In the rules it clearly states not to give positive identifications for mushrooms if you are not 100% certain of what they are!!
Here are some foes I came across today:

*edit: I don't know why my photos are not showing up as thumbnails. I am not doing anything different. *

Palestine, TX and I did not see any blue tint. Brown underneath. I just moved here and those are mostly what I have seen in the cow dung

Umm, most people dry mushrooms they intend to keep, though you should not eat those anyway. If they did not have any blue, then they are not Copes, and thus, not edible nor active. Do not eat them, just throw them out or keep them frozen for... looking at, if you want.

Copes are more of a creamy beige color maybe a little brown at the very top, but they will bruise bluuuue! That is the most important!

I'm pretty dam sure those aren't Copes, unless the one on the very far left bruised blue. Looks like some Panaeolus species I used to find on Maui. Copes usually have clear/white stems that bruise, and the Panaeolus have more of a red/brown color, at least in my experience.
