Hey I have a quick question. I got a free syringe (acadian coast) with my ecuadors on saturday. I shot up some quarts sunday night and my incubator has worked a miracle. The EQs in some of the jars are completely covered in white after only 4 days, however the acadian coast have yet to show any signs of growth. All my grains are from the same batch (which btw I tried out something other than rye this time and think I found something way way better... I'll let you guys know how it turns out). The acadian coast had clumps of spores in the syringe. I shook and shook as hard as I could but wasn't able to break them up very well. Could this possibly be part of my problem? Or is acadian coast just a slow starter? I'm getting antsy and thinking about doing some mycelium transfers to my empty jars. I'll go get a pic real quick
Four days. Pretty incredible from my experience. If anyone cares, I will find out what this grain is called again. The name escapes me atm... it's about 1.70 a pound at whole foods.
