DLL Error when starting windows. Help please..
    #6747028 -

Every time Windows boots up I get this error message:

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\System32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for windows system DLL's. The vendor should be contacted for a new DLL."

It seemed to have started after Windows last updated but I'm not sure thats what caused it.

Before asking for help here I went to google and looked up how to remove this HHCTRL.OCX and followed the steps I found here.

Quote:
It is not easy to remove Hhctrl.ocx because it is considered to be a system component. To remove your current version of Hhctrl.ocx and install an older version, type the following from the command line:

  1. cd %windir%\system (win95) or cd %windir%\system32 (NT4)
  2. regsvr32 -u hhctrl.ocx
  3. del hhctrl.ocx
  4. del itss.dll
  5. del itircl.dll

After following the above steps I successfully deleted it from the registry and off of my HD. After rebooting I got the same error and checked and all of the files were back on my HD.

Does anybody have any idea why I am getting this error and how to go about fixing it?

Thanks.
