Outdoor Horse Poo Heaven

I made an outdoor bed consisting of a layer of horse poo, a crumbled brf/verm cake, and then another layer of horse poo. I have been keeping it moist, and the weather here has been perfect, very humid, and in the mid 80's. I made the bed about 6 days ago, and already that little bit of mycelium has taken the bed over. I see it poking through the top. I am absolutely amazed at how fast that process has taken place. My question is, can i just leave it how it is and expect it to start pinning, or will there be too much overlay? Should i put a layer of verm on top to sort of case it? Any opinions are very much appreciated. I tell you, if this works as good as it looks like its going to, i will be an outdoor grower the rest of my life.

I have never heard of and my fire ants never had problem with overlay outside. Only problem is keeping humidity up when it drops. Wet pine needles worked great even cubensis mycelium started to eat it even though its not supposed to. The wet needles provide extra humidity for when it dissapears. Also planting grass on your casing layer helps keep humidity up but your flushs will be smaller.

well if anyone wants to know how the patch turned out, go to the grow log forum and look at treasure coast setups, by floydseamus of course.... all the way to the bottom shows the shrooms i grew.
