Well this is about the first time I tried the magic mushrooms. It was four years ago during my freshmen year in high school, and during my severely "suicidal, clinically depressed and homicidally insane with bi-polar and dissociative personality disorder days" all the bullshit we teens go through, that snap.
Anyways, I hung with a buddy daily in his Jr year and we had a lot of classes together, one friday he tells me that he is going back to his hometown for the weekend for some good weed and maybe some shrooms, i tell him i want a quarter on monday.
Monday: I see him in commons that morning, he says I got you a treat, but it's not weed.
me: "DUDDDDDDEEE, you know i dont do any other drugs, im no fucking coke head."
him: "it's ok man, your going to love this. These are the best boomers ive ever had in my life"
me: "ok man, but not next time. I love my weed (still true)"
I wrap them up in some paper toweling from the bathroom dispenser, and go to class with them in my backpack.
Lunch Hour: I meet up with this girl that had wanted to fuck me for a while at the time, and i figured i would share 1/4 of my shrooms with her. We buy three slices of school pizza from the oli cart and walk across school grounds past the railroad tracks and smoke a bowl from her stash, then i whip out the booms to see a super happy look on this girls face like i am a god for having the good drug.
We eat. EW. I tried shrooms again recently and the ones I had before were fucking nasty..this time they were Argentina, and it was a very nice and comforting trip..but i don't think my pupils were that big even when I did XTC.
Well i go to class, it's a monday-this means the classes are twice as long, but we have half as many. It is my standard monday after lunch class, World History 1.
I was stoned off my ass too, mind you. Let's not forget how paranoid weed can make us fragile minded human beings.
10 minutes in : what the hell, im stoned.. i dont feel anything.
20 minutes : i still dont feel anything, but im still stoned.
30 minutes : my feet start to tickle
40 minutes : my body tickles
42 minutes : my mind tickles
43 minutes : i am tripping for the first time.
50 minutes : i did not know bears were yellow and hot pink..there were school posters with bears holding hands over the library shelves (doing class project in the library) and they were starting to like, run..move. i cant explain it. but I heard some weird giggling from them im not sure if it was an auditorial hallucination or just a person in the library.
The bad trip:
I hear my name on the intercom. I am told to report to the office immediatly.
<-- freaks. I think someone has snitched me out, and I had already been busted with weed at school that month. I grab my friend and tell him to come with me to the bathroom, i throw about 20$ worth of weed in his hands and tell him its his and walk out.
I enter the office, tripping balls. Expecting the school cop to be standing there, only with a puzzled look on my face as to why my MOTHER is looking at me 10 feet ahead.
Tom, are you ready to go to the dentist?
I forgot my dentist appointment. People that cant handle bad dreams please stop reading here.
The car ride: We weren't a single block from school before a SEMI pulled up along side of my mothers little car. I was terrified of this thing, to me that semi serves nothing but evil with every fiber of it's being to this day.
Engines roaring, colors soring, mothers yapping, clowns clapping, holy fucking shit am I going to die???@@#!
1 and a half hours into the trip: Nearly in tears, this is torture my friends, I will never enter a vehicle again under the influence of those oh so magically powerful mushrooms - it was hell and a half, words cant explain it, i was mortified. Say goodbye to your ego? Well when your about to shit your pant's your usually not thinking about how cool you are..hmm anyone?
I just cant bring myself to explain the rest of the car ride, especially with what comes next.
The dentist: Ok. Bad. Wrong. Evil. Morbid. Sick. Twisted. Demonic. Deviant. Devilish. Horrible. Not for me especially.
Well, ok I walk in and immediatly attend to the water bubbler for 2 minutes CHUGGING, then the bathroom, a three-minute piss and I look at myself in the mirror. Holy shit, I look like a gay-rape victim who over-dosed on ecstacy.
I walk out of the bathroom. At this point I am completely fucked up and not to mention the vodka shots I had before school (I had insomnia like you wouldn't believe, so getting drunk at 5am was acceptable).
Now, I walk into the doctors office, and at 15-16 my mother still had me at a Pediatric dentist for easier insurance processing, and the walls are COVERED IN FISH AND SHIT. Oh my god it's like the dentist is the Shroom nightmare, that starts out a good dream.
It was great at first, all the pretty colors, the amazing feeling, the funny looking people..Then the doors open.
The dentist. I now firmly believe that the surgical clothing they wear was imported from hell. He looked like an evil and anurexic snow man with an alien head with the wierd hat..more to that in a sec.
I'm in the chair, and I notice the lighting in the room they have for decoration immediatly, it's a green-purple-blue tube lighting thing that fades from bright to dim over and over again, talk about fucking trippy.
The hell begins: :"Tom, please open your mouth wide."
The aliens have begun working on my brain through my throat.
"Tom, are you ok? You look really scared, were just cleaning your teeth?"
The alien is talking to me in bad english, I think it's going to eat me.
"....im fine"
"Ok, let's get started."
The tooth cleaning tool he was using turns on. Welcome to the nightmare.
The aliens have begun skimming off layers of my face with lazers.
I could see the reflection of what was going on in my throat through the glasses, a true horror. This was the worst part.
"Ok tom, what is wrong - am I hurting you or hitting something sensitive??"
"im finnee..keep going" (not wanting to let my mother become aware that I am on several drugs and slightly hung over @ 15)
I immediately regret telling him to keep going, it was like I just asked a huge black guy named bubba to have as much fun and play with my asshole as he wants.
I start to cry. The dentist stops and stares, I claim my girlfriend broke up with me 1st hour and im sad. He says sorry and continues. Asshole.
He gets out two tools, one i believe was a little mirror thing and one was a scraper. I've had about as much as I could take 5 minutes in.
At that point I was about to get ready and beg for death, I swear the paranoia and horror feeling gave me the anxiety disorder I developed a few days later..
Well he says that he forgot that I have a cavity and a tooth has to go. He injects me with a tiny ass little needle and it makes my face numb. He goes to pull.
I rip out of the chair screaming and say 'YOULL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE' and run out of the room.
My mom sees me covered in fluids and wearing the little neck thing totally tripping balls (I am quite positive she knew i was tripping at that moment, she knows now because i told her about this...she found it hilarious that i once again "learned the hard way")
"Leave time, NOW!" and walk out the door.
Car ride back was 100x as bad as the first, i don't even want to talk about it - I had my eyes closed the entire time just waiting to get home.
I get inside, i immediatly walk to the fridge and grab a 6er of mikes hard lemonade and walk to my room.
My room is very scary.
I crawl into bed with my bottles and start drinking (as soon as I noticed the bottles had caps, very unconvenient i thought..)
I drink them all one after another, i get a buzz fairly quickly (i think) and the paranoia hits.
I started to freak, shreak and twist. I was lieing in bed being tormented by the cieling. You know the little dots on your cielings, or bumps or whatever? I thought they were little bombs falling from the sky and I kept covering my head under the covers yelling and stuff, if my mother hadnt gone back to work she would of found me crying and screaming from help because the cieling was attacking..I was like this for a good hour before I cried myself to sleep.
I woke up and vowed to never do shrooms again. I am glad I broke that vow, and avoided the dentist at all costs during my last trip.
Lesson: don't forget your appointments, at any cost.
Anyone find this entertaining? Because I sure as fuck didn't but it's a good party story. hard to tell online.

Lol Oh yeah..the gay part was I gave the last of my weed away at school that day and dropped 100$ on something that I would of paid 100$ to have not happen to me.
The next day was about as depressing as that one, I tried to kill myself by hanging myself in my closet...it was like the scene from Life as a House, the closet hanger breaks and the family walks in...
I got to know the Psych unit well, I was just there again a few weeks ago for trying to kill myself, my moms boyfriend, and a couple cops.
But I had a .2 then, and when your mentally uncontrollable with like a dozen disorders/disfuctions you simply should NOT be fucked with?
Idk, i want to hear responses to this.
Was it as bad as I put it, or am I just a pussy?
I think it was as bad and a thousand times worse, IMHO.

Yet another frightening experience that could have been avoided if a little information had been attained before the trip.
Although it reads like total fiction to me...because I have a hard time believing who would take mushrooms at school, ride in the car to the dentist and have a dentist in your face while tripping balls. I mean...no offense but that just seems totally ridiculous. You'd have to have nerves of steel to have your face worked on by a dentist while tripping like crazy. Seriously...I just can't express how weirded out I am by your story.
If this IS true, then fuck...

I have absolutely no reason to lie, I am totally new member here and i've only done shrooms twice.
believe what you want and i will totally fucking admit that the ability to tolerate what i did that day has effected me forever, and I will probably have psychological damage from it for the rest of my life.
Dude, my face was going CRAZY. The dentist didn't work on me for any more then 7-8 minutes before i literally got up and RAN out of the dentist screaming they would not take me alive. I dont see how that's remaining calm, seeing as I had to get a new dentist after that..ran into him at the local wallmart supercenter one day, i got a weird ass look...LOL
I admit the dentist part is hard to believe but at this point i was so disconnected from my emotions that I could handle anything, I think like less then two months before that I had a bunch of hmongs rob me a city over and hold guns to my head, and i was calm then as well.
I dont know man, but this shit DID happen. And I did plan on going home if the trip got to intense, i skipped and walked out of school a lot then -- I was actually going to leave after that class was over, but hell my name was called.
And dude my mom should of reminded me that morning, wtf? She always did before that and after that. Special torture.

is the way i party really that bad? I have seen people much worse then me when i party with my bros on the south side, but a lot of people call me twitch?
yeah i have made a lot of bad decisions, usually when i am wasted one way or another. I'll admit to that, but hey what can i do but move on.

I've never tried to hurt anyone on shrooms, that's just Vodka, the particular spirit even, not even all alcohol makes me violent.

Well, I for one have no trouble believing this. It sounded totally true to me, but then again, I've had some odd times too due to bad decisions, or oddball occurrences. Besides back when I was in high school the Dead were still touring and it was really easy for us to score sheets, and there was a LOT of acid being eaten and sold in our High school.
Two of my oddball stories are like this - A friend and I got a hundred pack of white doves, which even then, were surrounded in hype (but yeah, they were damn good, so I guess it was earned). Anyway, we decided to sample them and see how they were. An hour or so after eating them, I hear a honk honk outside - "Shit I forgot I have a driving lesson today!!!" So I go outside and get in the instructors car. He's this old guy Sid that taught everyone in my school how to drive, but was generally regarded as a weirdo of sorts...He starts talking to me about the girls at the school, and that alone was weird. Then he has me drive to this bank parking lot, and (now that I'm thinking about this, it must've been coincidence) there are two ducks - being intimate. It seemed like he had it planned, and was like "Look there's two ducks f&*@ing." Really weirded me out, but wasn't something I thought about too much. I did think I drove better than ever before that day, but you all know how that goes...
Than another time, I ordered mushrooms from A.N. (not going to post their full name) in Holland. I just ordered a quarter ounce, and by the time they actually got to me, it was a month or two after I expected them. I had written them off in my mind already. Anyway, the package was powdered mushrooms, so I couldn't really tell too much about them, and for some reason thought they might be fake...Dumb. I ate and eighth, and capsuled an eighth. Then I drove out to the nature preserve. On the way the first eighth hit me and felt amazingly good, so fool that I am (was), I ate the capsuled eighth. That really got me spun out. The trip that ensued was indescribable, but a very good learning experience. A lot of amazing things happened. It was all safe though, and I took what I'd learned as a growing and life lesson.
Though for the OP, I hope you stay away from vodka!
So yeah, having had slightly similar experiences when I was a youth, this is believable. In fact in many ways, psychedelics were like a coming of age for me. My own initiation into the mysteries, and into adulthood. I believe I was able to totally re-evaluate my life, my actions, and my personality through introspective psychedelic use, though at that stage, I do readily admit that the usage was not always responsible. but that is the folly of youth.
I have a hard time believing that MANY people here have taken a psychedelic before a forgotten appointment and then ended up tripping way hard in a place they'd have rather not.
Think about the pitcher (Damn I'm forgetting his name!!!) that took a nice dose of acid with his girlfriend one afternoon, only to see on the TV that he was scheduled to pitch that afternoon in the WORLD SERIES!!!! And then the man goes and throws a no-hitter. Go figure...
but yeah it happens...

"Whaaaa...? said Dock groggily. He snatched the paper, scanned the box scores, and read:
PITTSBURGH AT PADRES
DOUBLEHEADER
(6 P.M.) - Ellis (4-4) vs.
Roberts (3-3)

"That's when it was $9.50 to fly to San Diego. She got me to the airport at 3:30. I got there at 4:30, and the game started at 6:05pm. It was a twi-night doubleheader. (HT, 1987)
He makes it to the game and after having someone help him find his locker, he suits up and enters the game.
"Dave Roberts, the Padres' pitcher, had an easy first inning, ending with Roberto Clemente hitting one back to the box. Dock marched to the mound, wondering if he'd last the inning. (LW, 1993)
"His fingers tingled as he squeezed the ball. He squinted to see catcher Jerry May's hand signals. He nodded his head and went into his windup, falling slightly off balance in the process. The ball hit the ground about two feet in front of the plate and skipped into May's glove.
"May signaled for a fastball outside. Dock wound up and threw a hot one over the the corner of the plate - a swinging strike! In was no ordinary pitch: The ball burst from Dock's hand and left a blazing, cometlike tail that remained visible long after the ball was caught.
"Dock felt wobbly on the mound and his stomach was churning with acid cramps. His concentration, however, was superb. As long as he kept to his fastball, the comets kept burning across the plate. All he had to do was steer the ball down the multicolored path. Dock had a crazed look in his eyes and his lack of control was evident to the batters, many of whom were feeling increasingly vulnerable in the batter's box. Dock easily retired three batters in a row [in the second inning]. (HT, 1987)
I was zeroed in on the (catcher's) glove, but I didn't hit the glove too much. I remember hitting a couple of batters and the bases were loaded two or three times. The ball was small sometimes, the ball was large sometimes, sometimes I saw the catcher, sometimes I didn't. Sometimes I tried to stare the hitter down and throw while I was looking at him. I chewed my gum until it turned to powder. They say I had about three to four fielding chances. I remember diving out of the way of a ball I thought was a line drive. I jumped, but the ball wasn't hit hard and never reached me." (LW, 1993)
The seventh inning:
"The Pirates were clinging to their 1-0 lead. Dock was staring at the scoreboard when he realized he'd pitched hitless ball for seven innings. He smacked Cash on the arm.
"Hey, look," said Dock, pointing at the scoreboard. "I've got a no-no going!"
Cash gave him a blank look. "A no-no?" asked Cash. He'd never heard the term before. But Cash wanted to keep the pitcher loose and happy, so he smiled and said nothing.
Doc Ellis went on to finished the game without a hit. The Pirates won the game, 2-0, despite Ellis walking eight batters. Dock had a pretty good year in 1970. He went 13-10, and helped the Pirates win their first of three divisional championships.

I am far more responsible now. I have learned many things from my mistakes. I am not looking for attention, just reactions.
The girl said she didn't really trip hard but she got a nice body buzz and smoked more weed.
Nothing ever came of us, other then a blow job a month or so after that.
Any other questions, I have a pretty good memory of this day for it being 4 years ago, I think i remember it better then any other day of my life, even today..
glad some people found my pain entertaining, not a complete loss of 100$ and my sanity.

I wouldn't go so far as to use the word pussy. I'd say more like Unprepared (yes, with a capital U). Get some more years under your belt, and yer cranium twisted on right, and 'shrooms may just be able to show you their real magic. It's easy to see how a trip could get out of hand in that setting.

I dont get the appeal in kids tripping at school - when I'm tripping, I want to be fully absorbed into the trip, not worried about teachers, class mates, having to pay attention (or atleast act like it), etc. Just seems like such a horrible enviorment to get fucked up in.
There was ONCE I ate shrooms on my way to a lecture, why the hell I did this I have no idea, was leaving my place and saw them on my counter and figured 'why not?'.
Get to class, about 15 mins in, I start to think its silly - and just skip the rest of my classes to go enjoy my trip, swung by a coffee shop that my friend was working at and just getting off, went to his place, smoked weed and hung out.
even going to class stoned seems like a stupid waste to me, let alone tripping.

That's the way it should be because the psychedelics ought to be respected.
But the reality is different.
Most people (especially teenagers) don't get enough info (out of ignorance mostly but I think that's what happens to teenagers so let's not judge them harsh) and then end up taking them in the wrong circumstances.
And given this reality we all need to be a little more sympathetic to them.

Lol yeah guys, I know I know.
BTW - you would of forgotten this particular appointment too, back then I had them regularly @ 6 month intervals and because I generally remember ALL of my apointments months ahead of time, my mother did not bother mentioning it..bad move mommy dearest.
So 3 months after i was reminded about it the last time, i go to school thinking its a regular monday.
back then i was stoned a LOT at school, sometimes i would be drunk to.
I made a lot of bad choices. The WWTC program i am in now-- its a rule, if they even SUSPECT your stoned and cant prove it, you get the boot, perm.
Yes, a lot did happen in four years, and I am on my way to better things.
I also agree psychadelics should be respected - I am very fond of them and I want to always be in positive, light hearted environments for all of my future trips, perhaps even with a stoned trip-sitter to make sure i dont chew on the windows and stuff.

forgot to mention why i was so forgetful and depressed then.
my girlfriend of whom i thought i loved had just dumped me that thursday before i requested the quarter from my buddy.
I was just turned 16, heart broken, suicidal, and clinically insane.
I am now 18 and a half, in love, not suicidal but i dont care if i live or die, and still clinically insane.
But atleast im not depressed.

You cant enjoy your high because your always worried about teachers / principals / other students, and well - your high so its not like your getting anything out of class (unless say, it happens to be an art class ).

One of the most intense aspects of the mushroom high for me is "echoing tactility." Like if a blade of grass touches your leg, it feels like there is a blade of grass continually just starting to touch your leg over and over again. Its an impossible feeling. And its kind of creepy, I'm not too fond of it. I can't imagine dealing with that in the dentist's chair. Jesus that must have been bad dude. Glad you're doing better.

Lol similar things were happening with me, like when I saw the shit entering my mouth and i sort of felt it with my gag-reflex i kept feeling that over and over and over and over gradually getting worse -- to my boiling point and i fucking RAN man

man ive been hooking up this dumbass guy whos been just wasting all the precious drugs- first he buys 4th of shrooms from me- it's gonna be his first time ever. eats only 16th, obviously doesn't feel much, so about 3 hours later, when he thinks he has come down, he eats another 8th and calls me to say that ive given him duds. oforse it doesn't work, all you did was build tolerance with that 16th. the other time, he got his first ever dmt from me. i gave him thorough instruction on how to smoke it- sandwich in parsley/ash method. so what he does is he mixes it up in a large amount of ash, fucks it up and calls me to tell me again that i gave him bunk shit! and lastly i gave him another bag of shrooms as his last chance- he eats it along with anti-depressants and gets only a mild buzz. this is not some kid. this guy is 25 years old. i've told him everything but that he's a dumb fuck but i gotta get it out of my chest. He's a dumb fuck. lol.

So much hate on this guy.
Its as if as a psychedelic community, we shun those that would make mushrooms look like anything besides a beautiful sacrament that only leads to good things.
Guess what, these drugs are a double edged sword. Even if used in the most controlled setting, there is NO-WAY to tell if you will have a positive, or negative experience.
To claim that this guys story is fake is pure denial. I've heard of PLENTY of trips much worse than this. some people gain enlightenment. Some people flip out, and kill on mushrooms. Some people have permanent mental problems from psychedelic use.
We should take pity on, and try to help these people, and not make them feel unwelcome. The dude was just an uninformed kid. What happened to him was mostly the fault of prohibition, and his own misinformation,
but I've heard of plenty of experienced veteran users, being physically, and mentally damaged by mushrooms.

No, they can't. (well a very small percent of people have seizures)
Mostly its being so fucked up that you put yourself, or others in harms way, either intentionally, or unintentionally.
Not having a trip sitter around to watch out for you, or having someone not no what to do in case of a freakout.

lol quit hating on me, i was still just a fucking kid.
i did have a sitter, that girl i did them with - she was supposed to be in that class with me and watch me, but she decided to skip the rest of the day and enjoy her trip/weed at home.
i respect shrooms in a much different way now, the last time was a very lovely trip, and i spent most of it lying down talking to my girlfriend on the phone, watching a scanner darkly, etc
idk man. sorry for being such a shitty tripper when i was just a little kid, but keep on raving about how terrible of a person i am for doing that, psh.

Most of us always seem to start out seeing psychedelics as fun and games.. I know I did.. but after my first and most powerful trip - that all changed, and now I am happy to be on the psychedelic entheogenic pathway that I am on..
I wasn't sure if you were aware of the incredible power psychedelics have to offer humanity, that's all.

Man, Psychedelics are NOT a party drug. So to answer your question; yes, the way you 'party' is really that bad.
Why you would want to be around so many people while in such a delicate state is beyond me.
If they call you Twitch, there is probably a reason for that. You sound like you have some mental problems that you need to face and cope with, not that it is a bad thing and I am judging you for it. You just need to understand the awesome power of Psychedelics and the incredible effects that they have on the mind.
Life is not about getting fucked up and Wilding out. I think you have a lot to learn, and everybody learns at their own pace - you will know when (or IF) you are ever prepared to enter that state of mind again. Until then, I pray you do not do anything foolish again.

Yeah, I had a seizure on shrooms once; Ate an 1/8th of realllly bomb Gold Caps. Long story, but halfway through my trip I got a call, stood up quickly to pull the phone out of my pocket, and then just remember waking up on the ground covered in mud with everyone above me freaking out.
And I apologize if my above comment seems a little harsh, I just read through the comments, and I see that you seem to have aged and learned a bit more, congratz
