Another ID request.

Species #1:

Habitat: Growing on a mix of cow manure and straw in a pasture.

Gills: The gill color is black to black grey. The gills are free.

Stem: Tan gray, thin.

Cap: Most smooth, shiny brown.  Some large ones brown grey with a wrinkled appearance.

Spore print color: Black.

Bruising: Black.

Location:

Species #2:

Found growing out of a dead fallen log.  Nothing else known.

I found quite a few mushrooms growing twisted underneath cow pies.  The only way to find them was to randomly overturn the cow pies.  Just a reminder to fellow mushroom hunters, be careful moving objects in the field, this guy wasn't happy that I overturned his shelter.

The mushrooms growing from dung are certainly some species of Panaeolus. All the active species of Panaeolus bruise blue.

The others might be Clitocybe ectypoides, but without more information one can only guess.

IT is a non-active Panaeolus. IT is not Copelandia cyanescens.

Clitocybe ectypoides is a possibility, though, it has been subject to a few taxon reclassications, as you may have noted on the link- "Also known as".
Pseudoarmillariella ectypoides is the current classification, outdated synonyms include Clitocybe ectypoides and Omphalina ectypoides.

Anyway, as far as the possible identification of this mushroom- there is, as you said Dan, too little information.

Possible genera include Clitocybe(as fore mentioned), Omphalina, Clitopilus, Gerronema, and Lentinus.

Those are just some leads, but do not include all possibilities.
