Long time reader first time poster, what up shroomery ? Much love and respect to y'all !

This basket is 45 gallons

9 1/2 pints PF style 2 bricks of coir 1 Quart WBS spawn for good third flush power

1/2 a pint of fungal steroids bee pollen nutritional yeast sea kelp powder unsweetened coconut flax seed corn meal 3 drops of semen, freshly sqozin, jk, lmao !

3 very scientifically wieghed out pans of med grade verm
1 gallon ziploc bag chock full of organically composted de-hydrated and aged to perfection prior to adding a little h2o, pasturizing fur 3 hrs at 180 degrees (not pictured here), moo-moo doo-doo
Ime, I have to use poo to retard the green monster, trich, without poo I usually get trich just after or at the end of first flush. Using poo ensures three flushes, again this works for my set-up, not everybody.

smell the fluffy fluffy rhizos..............aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Now before we go on we do a little yoga, puff some haze and prep for phaze 2....

Now for the fun, two gallons of hot water, test for field capacity , crumble crumble crumble up the cakes, throw WBS about, put my hands in it , feel the texture , mix the air in, say a prayer, is it all the right texture ? , is the water content right ? level that motherfucker out, hard to due while trippin', ime..

Go nuts with a knife and some polyfill

This is 4 days into growth

misting once a day, using a heating pad to keep it warm, using light 24/7 to start pinning, PR's take along time to get started ime.

Why is that?

I keep a close eye on the temp, use towels to insure it cant over heat at max temp.

Cause heating pads heat from the bottom. Just cause the air temp. reads one thing doesn't mean your substrate isn't scorching on the bottom. The towels will help floppy peter to avoid this but a FC doesn't need to be heated in the first place. Looking good though floppy, you oughta get a nice crop.

88 degrees is still a little too warm for my personal preferences. I'm much more comfortable with temps reading about 78-82 very near the trays while incubating.
When fruiting I alter their environment to change the ambient air temps to something in the 70-75 degree range depending on it's the night or day period.

I agree 100%,that and heating pads can be a bit of a fire hazard as well,it may not happen ever but the idea that it might is enough to scare me,not of burning my house down but of attracting others, generally fire brings firemen, firemen bring policemen and policemen bring handcuffs, NO FUCKING THANKS,I would rather wait for them at room temp than even increase the risk of this by .oo1%

The reason heating pads are bad news is because the air above the substrate will be cooler than the substrate itself. This will encourage evaporation of the water into the air, where it will then cool outside of the substrate, and the water will condense on the top and sides of the tub. You want the water in your substrate more than you want it in the air or on the sides/top of the tub.

Agreed, and that is why I keep nothing illegal anywhere near me ,A a matter of fact if you turned this entire house upside down the most illegal thing you would find is a few baby bottles of lc,and that is just cause I forgot to move them.
I know I am more paranoid than most people and actually more paranoid than anyone needs to be,Ive had the police attempt at ruining my life too many times in my life to take chances so saying I'm biased is an understatement,I am also I anti anxiety pill away from certifiably, bat fuck, tie me to the mattress and sedate me so I dont bite you insane so that doesn't help much either

welp,
The first flush was kind of a bust about 600 grams wet, only about 1/4 of the surface area fruited. I think it got to humid. I'm leaving the top off for a few days and hoping the second flush doubles the first. I misted way to much, next time I'll only check it once every two days. I am also thinking of putting on a 70/30 verm/coir casing for the second flush. Better make up my mind soon. I have yet to bio-assay, things are to busy to take a ride on the mushroom giggle ship right now. Possibly, sunday afternoon, go for a hike, eat 3.5 dry grams.
Im thinking of grinding up the first flush and using it in the sub of a new project to see if I can get some extra potent cubes. Any posts on that round here ?
Thanks for reading
Peace n' chx grease
