Common Mutation? (two heads are better than one)

I was just wondering how common are mutations looking like the picture above. The reason being is because I'm pretty sure I've figured out what happens, how and why...relating to pins that pull up a bit of the casing with them - which has active mycelium in it.
That and it's probably the coolest damn thing I've ever seen and I really wanted to over glorify it's absurdity...

yea, plus, a strain from multispore inoculation will result in numerous sub-strains, and every one will always be slightly different. in which case you are bound to see some fucked up subs, and even some fucked up yields in general!!
shit happens, and i see no downfall to thaqt, but that is only my own personal opinion!!!
