found mycelium in cow dung when i went to get it

i got a ? a few weeks ago i picked up cow shit from a barn and i been drying it out well i turned it today so the bottom can dry and covered it cause it supposed to rain and i see mycelium growing in it not strong but its there is tehre any way to salvige it and see what it is?

Actually the same thing happened to me but I didnt try saving it. I guess you could to find out what strain it is. That would be cool. Uhm....I would try to pasturize the other poo around it, then follow the same guidelines for the horse poo tek. Im guessing.......just try not to let the mycelium dry out before you can transfer it to another substrate.

should i take the big chunk thats there throw it in a tin pan make it real moist and put it in my incubator?
or what if i do a half pint jar of brf after is cool throw it in the glove box and stick aq pice of mycelium thats growing in there

take a chucnk of the colonized poo throw it in with some fresh poo so ya spawn it, let it incubate and see what happens...
