I believe you already asked this question in a previous post, and nobody answered your question.
It appears that you are one of the few that bothers changing batteries, sorry man.
However, any light source is better than none (as long as it doesn't create too much heat inside your toolbox)

yeah it should, light is not that important,
But it is needed, give it a go and you'll find out.
At worst it will not mess up your grow.

you have to look and see, then you can decide if it "..works well in your toolbox."

At worst it COULD overheat the entire toolbox, stall and/or kill the cakes and/or dry them out for less of a flush.
...but nah...that's not "messing it up".

i asked about putting some LED christmas lights in it and RR said that they would be horrible.
light is important though. it's the last thing i have to deal with. i've been using indirect sunlight from my room(with great results) but i dont like taking them out of my toolbox because it no longer makes it a stealth grow, which is what im after.

yep, it doesn't even heat it up at all. the temp stays exactly the same.

Light is important for pinning - try placing a try in a dark area with limited but viable light, another tray with bright Metal Halie light, and another tray that gets bright indirect sun light.
There will be a big difference in pin set.
The problem one is going to have with battery powered lights is simply wattage. There is a big difference between 10 watts battery power and 100 watts corded power.
-------------------- Look at the atoms in the air and allow your mind to see the other planes that coexists in the same physical space where you sit. There are vibrational strings in each and every atom containing infinite realities, universes, and dimensions. Multidimensional beings and entities are RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! Only gravity and mental energy can pass through these different atomic branes and mushrooms can break the mental/spiritual membranes separating one reality from the other. TAKE A LOOK!
