Chocolate Mushrooms 101

I've done the standard search, but I've been unable to come up with any quantatative measurement of how much potency you lose when you make chocolates. The idea is to use a coffee grinder to turn the twig-like dried shrooms into a dust, then mix with a chocolate and re-solidify. My questions are thus:

1) How much weight do you typically use per chocolate? I think that they are usually sold as 1/8 oz (3.54g) per chocolate, but with the heat degradation of the actives, do you put more in to compensate?

2) What kind of chocolate do you pros use? I'm looking for more specific than "milk" or "bar".

3) Are there any storage problems with them after they have been mixed? Do you kep them in the freezer or fridge?

4) What's your favorite shape of mold?

5) And most importantly, if you have a magic chocolate recipe, please post it.

1) You won't lose enough psilocybin to need to compensate. What's your standard dose? Put that much into each chocolate piece.

2) Search the boards for chocolate recipes. It doesn't matter what you use though. Whatever you like. I would use either the cheapest or the healthiest (unsweetened), depending on how thick my wallet is.

3) Fridge

4) I have "X" and "O" ice cube trays..

These were made with a mixture of Andes mints and chocolate chips. They taste soooooo good. :smile:

One thing that kind of surprised me about chocolate mushrooms is how little powdered mushroom you can put in the chocolate. I have found that with 1oz of chocolate, even just 2 grams of powdered mushrooms affects the consistency to where the molten chocolate becomes like mud instead of like a liquid. 2 grams dried is less than 10% of the weight of the chocolate but it doesn't seem it could hold much more.
