 ID Request: Mushroom in Argentina

Hey Guys, could someone please give me any idea of what this mushroom could be. I discovered it today as it has been raining here the past three days. I want to know if its worth keeping the plant in the shade to continue the mushroom growth. Thanks!!
Habitat: Growing in the soil of a potted plant.
Gills: The gill color is a darker brown.
Stem: White almost fuzzy on the outside.
Cap: Tan with dark brown outer edges. 1/2 inch in diameter.
Spore print color: yet to be observed
Bruising: yet to be observed
Location: Argentina.

definitly keep, could be pan subbs. Spore print should be Jet Black. Is the stem hollow?

almost positive those are pan subbs, a psilocybin containing shroom that grows all over the world.

Maybe there is some dung mixed in with the potted plant.
Those are Panaeolus subbalteatus. Excellent snap shots of them.

I agree, text book specimens of Panaeolus subbalteatus. Nice thick stems! Great pics too.
Edit: I think I recognize those leaves... You growing the herb? Score x2

Ha! You guys recognized the leaves correctly. Wow, I cant believe my luck. Its crazy how fast these babies grow.. Alot faster than the plants did! Im going to have to read up as to when to harvest as Im a rook on shroom cultivation. Here are some updated pics! Thanks for the good vibes!

How many mega pixels is your camera??? Those are REALLY nice photos! Growing out of an herb plant pot- too cool.
The largest mushrooms in those photos are ready for harvest- when the mushrooms become almost plane- meaning, the caps are almost flat, they are ready for harvest. You should take some spore prints and donate them to the free spore ring! I'm sure they would be very appreciative.
I understand that a lot of potency is lost when drying this species, so save the mature specimens in a paper bag in the fridge until the other mushrooms mature, and then enjoy!

If you still have the caps, please attempt a spore sprint!! They are very nice specimens and it may come in handy!

Thanks for the props on the photos! The camera is a casio 7.2 megapixel. I´ll definitely take a spore sprint when I harvest them. Thats too bad too hear that they lose alot of potency when dried as I´d like to wait a little while to enjoy them. You guys know how well they would last being frozen in the fresh state that they are? That way they wouldn´t lose their potency from drying and they would keep for a while.

freezing them isnt really a good idea..... the mushrooms are mostly water, and when the water freezes the ice ruptures the cell walls, causing the shroom to turn to a black gooey mush when thawed. you could freeze them after drying with no problems.

Hey Coon, do you think that a lot of potency will be lost when drying this species Panaeolus subbalteatus as 'Curecat' noted earlier.. I'd hate to lose alot of potency.

Ripple - My info is anecdotal. I have collected many many of these mushrooms (thousands) and dried the best specimens, for consumption at a later date.... Well, my friend had maybe 75 dried mushrooms, and said he didn't feel a thing. I had about 45 and felt a little something, but not much. Those mushrooms were collected in San Diego, Southern California, and another member here, who had collected the same species in Los Angelas, Southern California, had described the mushrooms as having been fairly potent.... Both places are very close to one another, so I was very curious why my experience had been far different from his. The difference is that he ate his fresh, where as, mine were dried.
So, you can take your chances if you wish, perhaps your experience will be different yet!
I'm not sure how freezing fresh mushrooms effects the potency- if the active properties are fairly resistant to freezing, then you could simply make tea with the frozen fruits, avoiding the slimy, gross, water logged mess that Coon described.

This is, like, totally wow duuude.
Make some tea, then put it in ice cube trays for when your ready. I do it all the time now. Stamets says the potency of the subbs really varies on the nutes in what it was grown on. Even ones on nice lawns can be potent. Though I myself havn't tried to eat a wet one. CureCat knows her subbs. Her stinky baggy of subbs 
But thats is really cool. I know this happens a lot with pot fields that use that "mycorhizo-spores" in the soil (I dunno what kind of mushrooms they are, but they are small) But to have subbs pop up like that. Wonderful man.
Make some LCs out of them- clone some core tissue. Then just repeat.

yes. Those are a perfect example of Panaeolus Subbalteatus. You have actives growing with your activities. HAHA. I have eaten em fresh from california grass before. they taste terrible like grass but i just keep frozen musroom tea or popscicles.(is that how we spell popscicle???)
BTW! I found a dozen or so more subbs yesterday. AGAIN. this time right next to the beach in Malibu at a stable. No pictures sadly.

Thanks for all the good info everyone.. Unfortunately the humidity has dropped here and the mushrooms are no longer growing and the caps are splitting. Maybe I will try to put something over them to maintain the humidity for the few that appear to still have a chance.

Heh, I already sent you a PM with the ID, but here it is again:
Conocybe tenera or similar species. Inedible, potentially poisonous (though seeing as they are very common, and there have been no reports of poisoning, it is unlikely, as ToxicMan pointed out in another thread), do not experiment.

Well I can assure you they are not C. tenera, but as Curecat said, most likely they are a similar species.

What makes you positive they are not C. tenera??
Of course, I will not argue that they ARE C. tenera, but I see no reason to rule it out.

Thanks for the info.. The non-edibles were thrown out and now I have a second round of Panaeolus subbalteatus coming in.
The sun has come back out and the humidity has dropped so I have made a make shift terrarium with the harvested remnants of the plant and Saran wrap. There are about 12 pinheads coming in so hopefully I'll get another set!
