Pretty sure you have to finish 1 WU(Work unit) first.

This is on a core2quad 2.83ghz
[06:16:02] Completed 165000 out of 500000 steps (33 percent) [06:25:37] Completed 170000 out of 500000 steps (34 percent)
From what I hear, 4 cores with folding is more efficient then 2 so even if the clock speed was the same it would be still less then half the speed compared to 4 cores.
On a 500000 step WU, I estimate 40minutes per % for you ?
So you guys get a idea on how slow this really is (Your client is most likely not broken!!) examples core2quad 2.5ghz [14:28:38] Completed 10000 out of 250000 steps (4%) [14:34:28] Completed 12500 out of 250000 steps (5%) [14:40:18] Completed 15000 out of 250000 steps (6%)
2 x dual core 1.6ghz xeons (4 cores total)
[18:46:04] Completed 540000 out of 2000000 steps (27 percent) [19:04:56] Completed 560000 out of 2000000 steps (28 percent) [19:23:51] Completed 580000 out of 2000000 steps (29 percent)
2 x amd 275's 2.2ghz ( 4 cores total) [05:52:17] Completed 100000 out of 2000000 steps (5 percent) [06:13:39] Completed 120000 out of 2000000 steps (6 percent) [06:35:00] Completed 140000 out of 2000000 steps (7 percent)
no more examples cause I don't want everybody to know my whole setup

first of all, you have a lot of computers.
second. apparently i'm slow as crap:
[05:04:14] Completed 70000 out of 500000 steps (14 percent) [05:19:15] Timered checkpoint triggered. [05:34:16] Timered checkpoint triggered. [05:49:17] Timered checkpoint triggered. [06:04:18] Timered checkpoint triggered. [06:19:19] Timered checkpoint triggered. [06:34:21] Timered checkpoint triggered. [06:42:01] Writing local files [06:42:01] Completed 75000 out of 500000 steps (15 percent)
that's over an hour per percent. centrino duo 2.2 or 2.4 GHz (i don't remember )

Don't know where to find total number of pieces for the one my CPU is running ... But my graphics card has a 10000000 piece one that I'm cranking away at 20 percent on ... That's about 3 hours worth ...
The CPU is running it's own but it's smaller ... I think it's 1.5 mil ... Will check in the morning. There has to be a way to run 100 percent on my CPU with this thing

woohoo I'm on board now, been meaning to do this for a while. I might have to drop some more processors into the mix if I am not too lazy. Distributed computing kicks ass! And this could actually prove to be useful . . . unlike another popular distributed comnputing project has proven to be thus far.

I use various PC's and lappies none of which are on the web regularily. I imagine I am useless to Folding@Home.. But I applaud you all for doing this.

If you use the GPU version if you are capable, it goes pretty fast. I am already on my 18th WU and climbing the ladder.
