Installed f@h four days ago and it running like smooth and creamy peanut butter.
What if I put my f@h username under basic preferences as anonymous, will I get all those points?

Hey, Mephistophelian, I did not want to hear that.;)
I think having the helix displayed is a good thing not to just show off, "Hey, look at me everyone, I'm saving the world." More like, "Hey, if you don't know what this is, click on it, and now you do. You see all these people doing it on here, maybe it's something to look into." People are more likely to join something if they think it's the popular thing to do. That's one reason why voicing your voice is important.
Why not have your computer actually compute something instead of being idle? We would get on someone for not using their full brain capacity, what makes a computer any different? Plus like I read in the previous posts, it expands the lifetime of your computer as mine is now on 24/7.
Along with warming up a heatless spare bedroom.

My thoughts exactly...its why I have my helix. Its what got me into it, was curiosity of someone elses helix. So I attacked friends computers, work computers...everyones computers to get in on helping.

as soon as i get my computer operational again i will leave it on just for this, and i love all the power backing my system, i wish they had this program able to use all my power, and as much of it as it could utilize, amd phenom ii 3.0ghz (will overclock soon as i get psu) 2x ati radeon 4870 x2's (4 gpu's) 16 gb ddr2 800 1200 watt psu(my third one that was broken, i already how powerhouse power loss, i mean 9 volts instead of 12 kills computers) but yeah i got a ps3 already and i don't know exactly how to start folding@home, i mean like i got it up but can i play music and browse in the background? i love this project and will donate all my power to this cause. i finished a wu in less than an hour before my psu broke

Hello everyone, new to this forum but very interested in learning. have recently started a grow and went through everything step-by-step using the pf tek method.
Trying for phys cubensis, at almost 9 days still showing no colonization or even any growth at all. Out of 4 jars, 1 has a small, white spot growing about 3/4 size of a dime.
Couple of questions: initially for the first 3 days, was only able to keep at a temp range between 67 and 75. As far as i know, should shoot for 75-81. However moved jars to a warmer location, now steady right around 78 but has been almost another 6 days in this temp.
How long should we expect to go before growth starting for keeping at a lower temp, or does it mess up the whole grow?
After steamong/boiling for 90 minutes, let cool for almost 2 hours, part of the time by fan, should i let them sit overnight before inoculation?
ALso, is it good to bake the verm before making the substrate? The verm is older, been sitting around a while, and i wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Used verm, brown rice flour substrate. Recommend anything else for p c?
Also, is scotch tape over the holes the wrong tape, at first thats all we had and we picked up some medical tape. Would that have anything to do with no growth?

I played around with this on here about two or three years ago...I started again the other day..I just made up my user name (I guess that's how it works) - it hasn't reported any stats yet... but I believe my new quad core should do better!
There should be an option to max out whatever resources it wants. I'd leave it churning through work units whenever I'm not using it
