Would this work?

im new to growing shrooms
i do not have a pressure cooker and was just wondering if i could sterilize the jars by boiling them in water?
I have read that if you are using whole grain brown rice that you must use a pressure cooker because of the large numer of bacteria that cannot be killed by boiling.
Would it be OK if i just took the whole grain rice and put it in my oven at like 350 degrees f. for a while and then immediately placed the rice in the jars and boiled the jars for about an hour or so?

Your contamination rate will be much higher if you dont use a PC to sterilize whole grains. But you could still give it a go with that method IT MAY WORK but still a PC is definitly needed in this hobby if your half serious.

yes that will work for now. get brown rice flower from a health food store though.
don't use whole grains rice or seed until you get a pressure cooker.
I still boil unfortunately so if you need more help PM me
