Rye Sterilization w/ microwave?

Just what the subject says. Can it be done and if so how. Also, I have some quart jars of rye that were mostly colonized using a heating pad to keep them at the right temp. The problem is that I accidently turned the heating on to the highest setting. This was about a month and a half ago. I shook the jars up and let them sit and now there is some fresh growth. The question is, will these eventually colonize fully or is there a limit to how much they can take.

Sorry this is a bit muddled but any answers to either Q would be helpfull.

nope cant do it, wont work.....

ive only succeeded using a microwave with BRF/VERM

ive tried rye grain and well it contams always.
