Weird Lookin LC

This is an LC made with 4% org honey and water. I know many of the experienced growers on here may not prefer this method but it CAN work so hey what the hell.

A buddy of mine has used this method in the past, and the MYC did turn out okay, so I thought I’d give it a shot. The spores came from a personal print and were injected into the jar with correct portions of water and honey. The jar was then put into the fridge for about an hour or two accidentally, and then set to incubate. 48 hours later the jar had somewhat clumpy yellowish matter floating all over it and this does not look like any of my previous LC's. Is this safe to inject into my WBS, or should I discard and practice more “proper” LC techniques?

prolly just canalized only one way to find out though innoc a test jar and see what happeneds

if it was 48 hours later and it looks like that, you've got contams. Spores take a good 3 to 4 days to do anything. Also, I would suggest using less honey even though many teks suggest this much. Try 1% honey with distilled water and your jar only filled halfway (important). Or get dry light malt and dextrose (corn sugar) at your local homebrewing store.

That is not mycelium. Mycelium looks fluffy.... that looks more like undissolved powder.

Scrap it and try again!
