Ideas for FAE

Hello,
I am currently in a bit of a dilemma. I live in an arid climate so keeping my moisture level up has been tricky but finally solved by using a coolmist inside the greenhouse and an ultrasonic outside. I was previously using a coolmist outside as well.
My problem now is that I was using the coolmist outside for FAE and now its started making some nasty vibrations and i turned it off to not annoy my neighbor through the floor
I was wondering if it would be possible to get a small squirrel cage fan to provide FAE?
I know you can cut holes in the GH but its in a closet and I work long shifts( over 12 hours) so I need something more automated that can pull air from under the door crack.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Viva la revelucion!

Have you tried cleaning the coolmist. They make 2 diffrent solutions to pour in to the water while the coolmist is running. 1 is to get rid of bacteria that will grow and another one is to make the smell cleanier i think. I know I had that problem before and had to take apart my coolmist and clean out the crud that built up on the nozzle that spun. You can get the solutions from menards, home depot, lowes, or even wal-mart or k-mart.

HMMMMM, i am in the theoretical phase of my FAE issues, and can imagine your dilema well!
wait, actually i dont know if your saying your issue is CM noise, or FAE...
i also imagine having a few COMP fans piped (PVC) over each shelve on the GH. maybe run em 10/15 min before the ultrasonic. i have no idea how valid this idea is, seems more work than its worth, seeing as its another project you could have handeled with your cool mist....
switch em? ultrasonic inside CM outside?
I AM LOST IN THIS HYPOTHETICAL FAE NIGHTMARE!!!!

Computer fans work great . Get one and make sure it runs 115-120v and hook it up to a $5 timer. You can use an old electric cord from a broken appliance to wire up the fan. Most fans will say on them how much output they produce (cf/m) so you can do the math as to how long it needs to run. Stamets suggests 4-5 fae's per hour in an fc. Even if you don't run it that much, just think how much more fae you'll get compared to hand fanning for 30 seconds 3 times a day.

i was having problems with FAE during specific times of the year. i basicaly made a PMP after failing with other methods of fruiting chambers and never had a problem since. check it out.
i cleaned everything before i put it inside. first with some antibacterial cleaner then with alcohol in a spray bottle and rinse with water h202. thats just how i do it.
an entire bag of perlite is added to the bottom. just keep pouring water in till it looks about right. never measure just eye ball it. then i pour an entire bottle of h202. 4 half pint jars are used upside to hold up the racks. the racks are simple closet racks you can buy at homedepot. they will cut it by the foot or you can do what i do. buy a large piece, save it, cut it as you need it. youre gona need something semi heavy duty to cut.
i had this setup for quite sometime. i was always paranoid about fanning for FAE so i heated up a nail like in most teks and poked the nail in 2 spots right through the tub 2 inches above the water/perlite. stuck one hose into a long flexible bubble wand and another hose directly into the water/perlite so it bubbles around nicely. i almost never have to fan and get good pinsets. in this pic i was using some of the MADSEASON bags. they worked out pretty good. several flushes just some give off a quarter to half o dried at first then the rest comes in nicely after.
i can pull a minimum dried 5 ounces from a chamber like this on the first flush. its about 28 inches long 20-22 wide. www.thecontainerstore.com
*this usualy maintains a RH of 88-93%. usualy higher when its left alone for longer periods of time. the temperature in this box is actualy cooler than the ambient temps so i find it nice for fruiting. always see pins in less than 6 days.

Here's something I put together. It provide constant FAE and regulated humidity when the fogger is hooked up to a humidistat. The PVC pipe is the output which goes to the input for a greenhouse.
I got the idea from Agar the credit belongs to him. This only has a few modifications from his original FAE/Fogger Bucket. It works great.

Basically what you have is an ultrasonic fogger sitting inside on a homemade float to keep it at the proper water level. The 12V DC COMPUTER FAN is supplied from a 12V DC power supply..please do not try to hook up 120 AC to a small DC fan....

The power into the fogger comes from a 25V ac power supply that comes with the fogger when you buy it. I hooked up this to a homemade humidistat to regulate humidity.
Fogger inside:

Up close shot of homemade float...you can buy floats for these but if you can't tell I like saving money by building things myself.

FOGGER IN ACTION
