using brf to innoc grain

not sure if this is the right forum, but i was reading mycofile's bulk neglect tek, and i am planning on using grain as spawn. my question is, can i use a chunk of brf/verm cake to "innoculate" a grain cake? he adds 12cc's of peroxide so i can't add any spore water, or it'll be too moist. is this correct?

Try to read all you can about casings. What you are talking about is spawning BRF cakes on rye, yes it can be done, you'll have to sterilize the grain probably inside a bag in th PC, then you crumble the BRF cake inside the bag and wait until it colonizes the grain, then the grain is crumbled again and cased with 50/50 or whatever, so it's also a good idea to read something about mycobags. Sorry, but i can't get that stuff about the perioxide and so on, could you be more explicit ?

yes, i worded my sentence wrong. i just meant to spawn the grain with brf, not to make a grain cake. sorry bout that misunderstanding. i plan on having the brf colonize the grain, (shaking through process), taking grain out and spawning manure. maia: i THINK that most poeple, when not using agar to innoculate grain, put water in the jars then pressure cook them. in the bulk neglect, he does not add water to the quart jar before pc'ing. the grain is strained/dried then directly pc'd. later, he adds peroxide to equal the moisture of that to a jar that had water pc'd. I cannot just innoculate with spore water because that would really mess up the moisture content. i'm trying to make sense but i think it's only making sense to me. *shrug* gimme credit for trying! anyways, thanks for your input everyone!
